We always want to do more
Throughout the years, the Seabra Group has adopted a posture of conciliation between economical development, social responsibility and environmental protection, supported in a culture of ethical values, truth, justice and respect for all those with whom it interacts. It always tries to fully comply with its responsibility towards its clients, collaborators, suppliers and surrounding environment.
Being a group that performs in several areas of industrial activity, it has an increased social concern for the environment, common to all business areas.
This desire to always want to do more as resulted in the support of several causes and institutions of humanitarian and ethical character in the society, among others the ones presented here.
Sintra’s Clube de Rotários
Sintra’s Clube de Rotários is an association of entrepreneurs and professionals who provide humanitarian services.
They develop and promote daily, high ethical standards in their professions, helping to promote peace and good will, guided by the world values of a worldly known non-profit governmental organization.
Seabra Group has been financially supporting this association, thereby contributing to the execution of several solidarity projects.
Project “Casa da Ritinha”
This solidarity Project is being promoted by Filos Foundation a Private Social Solidarity Institution, of the Congregation of Claretian Missionaries, aiming to help in the construction of a new adapted house for “Ritinha”, an 8 year old girl from Oporto, suffering from cerebral palsy.
It was with great pride that the Seabra Group hás given a donation to Filos Foundation in order to fulfil this dream. Ritinha has already a designed project for the new home, awaiting for construction to begin.
Filos Foundation was initiated in 1995 aiming to promote initiatives of social response through projects of intervention, with persons, families or groups in a clear situation of poverty or exclusion, specifically on the scope of social support and treatment, in cooperation with other social promoters, private individuals or corporations.
C.A.S.A. (Homeless Support Center – HSC)
The Homeless Support Center is a non profit association, constituted mainly by volunteers promoting social solidarity actions.
This Association provides food and shelter for homeless, children, teenagers and elderly living in a situation of poverty. It also helps the victims of violence or maltreatment to overcome the
harsh situation they face.
The donations are crucial to their work development, and so the Seabra Group is proud to have given a donation to this project performing such an important role in the life of so many Portuguese.
Therefore, we contribute to helping those who need the most, more meals, blankets and sleeping bags, more medication; deep down, more support in order to fight this reality
ATLAS
The ATLAS Association develops social solidarity work with local communities in Portugal and Angola, with several projects to fight different problems in today’s societies.
Among these projects, the Project Bairro Cambamba I, dedicates itself to the literacy of over 160 children in the city of Luanda, with no conditions to attend Public School, for either financial or documentation reasons.
It is with great optimism in the future of these children, that we collaborate in this initiative, and therefore contribute to feed these literacy courses, organized in the neighbourhoods, where they are able to learn how to read and write and dream of a better life.
Seabra Solidário
As part of a social responsibility campaign “Natal Solidário” carried out by the Group Seabra, were collected over a hundred pounds of goods (clothing, toys, food, technical aids) and thereafter donated to social solidarity institutions.
Due to the strong involvement of all employees in this cause, we decided to transform the holiday campaign in social solidarity continuous project called “Seabra Solidário”.
This decision reflects once again the concern of Seabra Group in wanting to do more, with respect to the support of various causes and institutions humanitarian and ethical society.
